Ugly Chairs Brought Back to Life

I have these chairs that have been in my family for years, and I love them. They’re easy chairs and rocking chairs in one. Perfect for gently rocking in the morning as I do my crossword or having a nice conversation with my husband at the end of the day.

And there’s the added sentimental value of remembering sitting in that same chair when I opened my Christmas presents at age 7. There’s only one problem: they’re ugly chairs.

Maybe ugly is too strong a word; let’s go with outdated. My parents handed them down to me in 2009, and since then, I’ve been wanting to reupholster them to be more modern and to match my living room décor.

But it’s 2015, and the chairs are still ugly, er, outdated. It’s a habit of mine to procrastinate on a project for years because I don’t know how to get started. Well, I’ve solved that problem by reading some other posts on the Kovi Fabrics Blog.

I perused the fabric selection on the Kovi Fabrics website and narrowed it down to a few choices. The next step is agreeing on one with my husband. As a newlywed, I’ve learned that part of being married has been learning to compromise and find our combined style!

Be sure to take a look at my choices, and let me know which one you like best!
